Jeff Lowe Coach And Leader Scholarship

Jeff Lowe, who sadly passed away in December 2015, was an active kayaker and canoeist in Edinburgh Kayak Club for many years and a dedicated member of the committee. Jeff was particularly keen to encourage club members to increase their experience and skills in coaching and leading and to gain relevant qualifications. His personal example and gentle support inspired many other paddlers in the club.

In honour and in memory of Jeff and his commitment to the development of coaches and leaders, the EKC committee has decided that the “Jeff Lowe Coach and Leader Scholarship” will be awarded on an annual basis to the individual voted coach/leader of the year.

​The award of £100 will be used towards reimbursement of the cost of any British Canoe coaching, leadership or safety course, or other appropriate course (agreed in advance with the committee).
